Quick guide to arming and disarming your system
Before you jump into all the amazing things your Vivint Smart Hub can do, you’ll want to know how to arm and disarm your home’s security. It’s straightforward - just follow these steps:
- Tap the shield icon on the main screen and slide to the right for “Away” and left for “Stay.”
- Stay signifies you will still be present inside your home and arms all sensors excluding interior doors and motion detectors.
- Away means you will be leaving, and everything in your home will engage.
- To disarm, all you need to do is slide the shield icon down and input your PIN.
The main screen will post a message if something is preventing the system from arming. For example, an open window will prompt you to take action. It’s worth noting that you may still arm your home’s security by following the above steps. You will then confirm you wish to bypass the sensor that isn’t engaged.
